Spurs are determined to leave recent brushes with relegation well behind them under Roberto De Zerbi during this Premier League season. Several analysts suggest the club’s summer recruitment could even propel them into European competition.
Supporters may have assumed the 17th-place finish under Ange Postecoglou was merely a temporary setback despite the Europa League triumph. However, the previous campaign felt for many like a distressing ordeal that refused to end.
Starting the season under Thomas Frank, Tottenham hovered dangerously close to the relegation zone and required a decisive victory on the final day against Everton to secure their top-flight status under De Zerbi, who had assumed control in March following interim manager Igor Tudor.
The club’s leadership clearly decided sufficient was enough and have made substantial financial commitments this summer, allocating a combined £237million for Jan Paul van Hecke (£52m), Mateus Fernandes (£85m) and Sandro Tonali (£100m). Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka have also arrived on free transfers.

Cole told Paddy Power that fourth position represents a genuine contest between Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham, with his prediction favouring the latter. He praised Spurs’ transfer business as excellent and noted their advantage of not competing in European competition. He described De Zerbi as an exceptional manager and expressed belief that Tottenham can achieve a top-four finish now that positivity has returned to the club.
Owen Hargreaves – 6th
Hargreaves told the Premier League that Tottenham have been significant spenders this summer. He regards De Zerbi as one of the most tactically proficient managers and predicts a sixth-place finish for them.
Jamie O’Hara – 6th
O’Hara stated live on talkSPORT that Arsenal would win the league, with Manchester City second, Manchester United third, Chelsea fourth, Liverpool fifth and Spurs sixth.

Jeff Stelling – 5th
Stelling expressed on talkSPORT that he predicts Arsenal to win the title, Chelsea second, Manchester City third and Manchester United fourth. He forecasts Spurs in fifth and Liverpool sixth.
Clinton Morrison – 6th
Morrison told Sky Sports that he has Arsenal winning, with Manchester City second and Liverpool third. He remains undecided about fourth place, having selected United but acknowledging Chelsea could challenge. He expects Tottenham to finish within the top six.
Troy Deeney – 6th

Former Manchester United player Ashley Young was tasked with predicting the final Premier League standings in a social media video for Sky Sports and ultimately placed Tottenham 13th.
He predicted United would win the league with Arsenal second, though in fairness he had received the teams in a random sequence and was subsequently asked to position them on the table without opportunity for revision.
Glenn Murray – 3rd
Murray told the BBC that Tottenham will perform considerably better than last season, having made impressive signings and with James Maddison returning to fitness. His sole concern is their continued requirement for a prolific goalscorer as he predicted Spurs to finish third.
